Focus on ‘learning by ear’ with this full-day Harpers’ Escape immersion with Grainne Hambly, William Jackson, Debbie Brewin-Wilson and Kathy DeAngelo.

The goal is to really learn the piece before you leave!

How? Guidance. Modeling. Repetition. You will have the music so well embedded in your ears and in your hands by the end of the day.

• There are 3 workshop groups for Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced playing levels.  
• Everyone learns the same group tune and then different level-specific tunes in smaller groups.
• Everyone then plays together in one big “Use it or Lose it” session at the end of the day.
• Participants get advance access to the audio files of the day’s tunes to facilitate ‘learning by ear,’ which they can download and listen to weeks before the Escape.

Schedule: Thursday July 16, 2026

10-10:45am: Escape Meet-Up, social gathering and a chance to reconnect (optional) 

11:00am-12:30pm: Individual level tunes (3 different rooms)

Debbie: Beginners

Billy: Intermediate

Gráinne: Advanced

12:30pm-1:15pm Break for Lunch

1:30-2:45:  Group tune & activity

All the groups play together in one room

3-3:45:  Teacher concert

4-5: Use It or Lose It
